The Clearblue fertility monitor is a kit recommended for women with regular cycle days (i.e. between 21 and 42 days). It can be used by moms-to-be to increase your chances of getting pregnant because it gives you an idea about your 6 fertile days (other kits only identify your 2 peak days). The added pre-ovulation days are necessary for you and your husband to know when to make love. At rare times, this kit can be used by mothers who want to monitor their ovulation period so that they could prevent getting pregnant again. How does this kit work?

* It monitors your low, high, peak fertility days.
* It gives you information on which day to test.
* It gives you an indication of when your next cycle will start. This will prepare you if you want to protect yourself from additional pregnancies or will guide you to examine yourself if you want to conceive.

How is this kit used?

Start using the kit on the first day of your period. Press the ‘m’ button as this will indicate that your cycle has started. The monitor will establish a 6 hour “testing window” for you and will request you to perform a test on certain days.

Hold the test stick while pointing downwards for 3 seconds while your urine is streaming. If you don’t want to use it while urinating, immerse the test stick on your clean urine for 15 seconds.

Take the cap off of the test stick handle and place it on the “wet” end, pointing downwards. Then, place it on the slot. Wait for 5 minutes while it tests your urine. Then, a symbol to remove the test stick will show. Upon removal of the test stick, you will be able to know your fertile status.

A single bar indicates low fertility while two bars indicate high fertility so you have increased chance of getting pregnant. Three bars will give you an indication that the time has come for you and your husband to have your most awaited baby.
